Parents, I am excited to serve in this capacity and to be an advocate for Crofton Middle School (CMS) and the Arundel/South River Cluster to the Board of Education. The purpose of the CAC is to make the Board aware of issues and concerns that we, the CMS community, have regarding our school and to bring information and news of new or proposed policies or issues back to the community for discussion and feedback. It is a vehicle through which voices are heard and change can be realized.
Like many of you, I have a personal interest in helping CMS be the best school in the county. My wife Kim and I have been invested at Crofton Middle with our children for six years now and will continue to be for another four. My oldest son is a junior at Arundel and Kim’s oldest daughter is a freshman in the STEM program at South River and both are graduates of CMS. We also have an 8th grader and two 7th graders currently at CMS and a 4th grader at Nantucket that will be enrolled in 2015. We are very involved with our kid’s education, sports, and extra-curricular activities and we know many of you and your children through these events as well. I’m hopeful and optimistic that the Citizens Advisory Council will provide all of us an opportunity to be recognized and represented.
If you would like to know more about Crofton Middle School's CAC please attend and join the discussion on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 in the media center beginning at 6:30pm.
